What is cosplay?
Cosplay is a creative hobby, made up from two parts: "costume" and "play". Basically, it involves impersonating a fictional or existing character by making replicas of their costumes and props and re-enacting their behavior.
Can I request specific characters for an event?
Costumes are privately owned, and therefore the presence of a certain character at an event is entirely dependent on its owner. That's why we usually work with specific themes such as princesses, superheroes, cartoons, etc. When we have an organization that requests a specific character theme, we will check the availability of our members who have costumes matching the requested theme.
How do I request characters for an event?
Please contact us with all the details involving your event and what characters you would like and we will get back with you as quickly as possible.
How do I join Cause-Play Memphis?
Please visit our JOIN OUR TEAM page. There you will find more information on joining, including an application you can fill out.
Do I have to be a staff member or on the website to volunteer?
Not at all! We have a group of wonderful people helping us run things behind the scenes, as well as in costume. Even if you are not a costumer, we certainly could use your help if you'd like to volunteer your time or services. If you would like to join, please visit the "Contact" link on the page menu. We would love to hear from you!
